Course Objectives:
This program is designed to teach students the skills necessary for employment as a CMA in a medical facility, such as a hospital, clinic or doctor’s office. A qualified CMA is capable of performing a wide range of duties, thus assisting the physician in many ways. Clinical duties include: asepsis and infection control, taking patient histories and vital signs, performing CPR and First Aid, preparing patients for procedures, assisting the physician with examinations and treatments, collecting specimens and administering and explaining medications as directed by the physician.
The Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA) program is designed to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical instruction and hands-on practical experience. The program begins with a total of 370 hours of classroom instruction and lab simulations completed over a 25-week period, consisting of 200 hours of classroom theory and 170 hours of supervised lab training. During this phase, students study essential medical concepts and skills, including medical terminology, anatomy, asepsis and infection control, patient history documentation, vital signs, CPR and First Aid, patient preparation for procedures, and assisting physicians with examinations and treatments.
Upon completion of the classroom and lab portion, students participate in an 80-hour externship over three weeks at approved off-site medical facilities, which includes 8 hours of orientation. This externship provides students with the opportunity to apply their knowledge in real-world clinical settings while gaining supervised hands-on experience in EKG and cardiac monitoring, specimen collection, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
The combination of structured classroom learning and supervised externship training ensures graduates are well-prepared to enter the workforce as competent and confident Clinical Medical Assistants.
Upon successful completion of the CMA program and fulfilling all graduation requirements, students will receive a certificate of completion to include their name and that they successfully completed the program. This certificate signifies that the student has completed the 450-hour training program, which includes both classroom instruction and clinical externships. Graduates will be eligible to apply for the CCMA national certification exam through National Healthcareer Association, enhancing their credentials and employment opportunities in the healthcare field.

Half & Half Plan:
This plan allows students to pay 50% of tuition down at registration and pay the remaining 50% balance by the third Monday of class.
Delay Your Pay Plan:
This plan allows students to have their name on our waiting list. The student can delay their class start date by paying a deposit (whatever they can afford) and making additional scheduled payments (agreed upon on the contract through the school) until full tuition is paid before the start of class session.
Sponsorships:
Private funds from agencies are accepted. No financial aid is permitted.
Refund Policy:
Full tuition refunds will be issued if a student withdraws in writing within 72 hours after signing the enrollment agreement (by midnight of the third day, excluding Saturdays, Sundays, and legal holidays).
After the third day, but before classes begin, the school may retain a $50 non-refundable application fee.
Once classes have begun and up to 60% of the program clock hours have been completed, the school may retain the $50 application fee plus a pro-rated portion of the tuition based on the last date of attendance. The pro-rata refund is calculated by dividing the number of clock hours attended by the total number of clock hours in the program and applying that percentage to the total tuition cost.
Example: If a student attends 40 out of 200 total clock hours, they would be responsible for 20% of the tuition (40 ÷ 200 = 0.20), and the remaining 80% would be refunded, minus the $50 application fee.
After 60% or more of the program clock hours have been completed, no tuition refund will be issued.
All applicable refunds will be processed and issued within 40 days of the student's official withdrawal date, as determined by the written notice of withdrawal and last date of attendance.
Third Party Loans:
Third party loans must be repaid according to the terms of the note even if the borrower does not complete his or her education, cannot get a job after completion of the program, or is dissatisfied with the education.
Consumer Credit Contract:
Any holder (lender) of a consumer credit contract (promissory note) resulting from the enrollment of the student at the institution is subject to all claims and defenses which the debtor/student could assert against the institution. Recovery shall not exceed the amounts paid by or on the behalf of the debtor/student.
Items are subject to cost change without notice.
